Just a few hours ago, POCO Malaysia just announced that the POCO X5 Pro 5G and POCO X5 5G will be making their way to Malaysia soon. From its Facebook page, the new phones will be launching here on 6 February 2023 at 8 PM via livestream.

As usual, there aren't many tech specs details given by the company. However, some European retailers have listed the devices already and "accidentally" publish the specs list online. So according to sources, the POCO Pro 5G could feature a Snapdragon 778G chipset in either a 6GB + 128GB or 8GB + 256GB memory setup. Then for the vanilla POCO X5, it could use a Snapdragon 695 chipset with the same aforementioned memory configuration.

On the other hand, the POCO X5 Pro and POCO X5 could feature the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz AMOLED display. The camera setup is different, though, as the pro variant could use a 108MP main camera and 16MP front camera, as opposed to the X5's 45MP main camera and 13MP front camera. The ultrawide and macro lens could be the same at 8MP and 2MP respectively.

Last but not least, the details also mentioned that both phones could have a 5000mAh battery pack. The charging speed would be faster on the POCO X5 Pro with a 67W, while the POCO X5 is half of that with a 33W charging speed. It's worth mentioning that both phones could have water splash resistance and run on MIUI 14 based on Android 12.

The POCO X5 Pro and POCO X5 livestream event will happen on its Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages. Until then, stay tuned for our news coverage only at TechNave.com.
