The MOST important hardware update of the year is here!
Sony has quietly updated all new PlayStation 5 Slim consoles (model CFI-2116) — both Disc and Digital Editions — with an ALL-NEW cooling system!
This isn't just a fix;… pic.twitter.com/yvrYUvaGL7
Moreover, this update is said to be something that was done quietly, but in his opinion and that of others, this may be a change that has been made to all consoles sold globally. In case you didn’t know, the PS5 is infamous for the cooling fluid (Thermal Interface Material), which often leaked out of the CPU when the console was always used in a vertical position.
After receiving a number of these complaints, Sony appears to have updated the cooling system for all existing PlayStation 5 console offerings, including the PlayStation 5 Pro and PlayStation 5 Slim, to ensure that the same incident does not happen again.
