The RM40 Electricity Bill Rebate Program initiative has now been extended until the end of 2025. For those who don't know, the RM40 Electricity Bill Rebate Program is a targeted government assistance program based on the 2022 Poverty Line Income (PGK), to finance monthly electricity bills up to a maximum of RM40 for Heads of Household (KIR) who are registered and verified in the eKasih system.

For your information, eligible KIRs who have a TNB account will automatically receive an electricity bill rebate of up to RM40 without having to apply. However, if you do not have a registered account with TNB or are renting a house, rebate applications for third-party electricity accounts can be submitted to the nearest Kedai Tenaga via the application form at semakanrebat.petra.gov.my.

Additionally, each KIR is eligible to receive a rebate for one electricity bill account only under the Domestic tariff, A. The electricity bill rebate will only be given for a maximum of RM40 per month. If the bill is less than RM40, the balance will not be carried over to the next month and if the bill is more than RM40, the recipient will have to pay the remaining bill.
