As what started as an April Fool's joke, the ROG Ally shortly became a reality and while there wasn't much information, ASUS has provided us with what we can expect. Here are some details about the specs and live stream event that's coming soon in May.

For starters, the ROG Ally features an all-new AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor with RDNA 3 graphics. Equipped with a 120Hz FHD display with FreeSync Premium support, it also has a maximum brightness of 500 nits and supports touchscreen while navigating through Windows 11. Speaking of Windows 11, that also means you can play all your publisher libraries and game streaming services. This includes Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.net, Ubisoft Connect, EA Play and others.

On top of Windows 11, a special edition of Armoury Crate is also available within ROG Ally. It offers performance mode toggles, a game launcher, gaming monitoring software, Aura Sync support and more. Interested customers will also get a bundled 90-day trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which also means access to Xbox Game Studios.

In terms of pricing, we were told that there would be two variants based on different memory configurations. The ROG Ally has up to 16GB of LPDDR5 dual channel RAM and up to 512GB PCIe Gen 4 of storage, which can be upgraded. Additionally, you may also insert a microSD card to expand your storage more.
