Last week, it was announced that Xiaomi will release a 2021 edition of the Redmi Note 8. The reason being was because it has made a new milestone of selling over 25 million units and with that, it was only a matter of time when the company will announce the full details. Here's what we found out.

Comparing with the original Redmi Note 8, the design is strikingly similar so there isn't much to comment about that. This goes the same for some features such as the 48MP quad-camera module and the 6.3-inch dot drop display which was confirmed on the Facebook post. Sources also confirmed that the 4000mAh battery pack is official.

On the other hand, the previous rumours of the Redmi Note 8 2021 edition using a new MediaTek Helio G85 chipset turns out to be true. So in other words, it's quite official that it's probably only change coming on the phone. For those who don't know, the Helio G85 chipset is a popular choice for budget-friendly devices.

Could Xiaomi Malaysia import the Redmi Note 8 2021 edition into the Malaysian market? Time will tell so in the meantime, do stay tuned for the official news at TechNave.com. Stay safe and safe healthy, people!
