The Redmi Note 8 series is coming to Malaysia on 8 October!

Malaysia’s first 64MP quad-camera smartphone is coming! As the hype goes on after the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro series unveiled in China, Xiaomi Malaysia facebook page has finally posted an announcement that it will be here soon! In fact, we got the invitation to the launching on 8 October 2019! So let’s have a quick look into the tech specs.

Let’s start with the Redmi Note 8 Pro first, it comes with the new gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G90T chipset with the option of 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB memory capacity. It is a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ Gorilla Glass 5 panel display with an IP52 splash resistant body.

In addition, there's a 4500mAh battery capacity that is supported by a 18W rapid charging, and also a liquid cooling technology along with the Game Turbo 2.0 MediaTek Hyper Engine gaming feature. As for the camera, it has a 64MP (ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor) camera that can shoot up to 960fps slow-mo video, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP lens for the macro and depth sensors, whereas the front camera is 20MP.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 is equipped with a Snapdragon 665 chipset, 6GB + 128GB memory which is expandable and a 4000mAh battery pack. As for the camera, it is using a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. Both phones are running with the same MIUI 10 out of the box.
