On the first day of June, Xiaomi Malaysia confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Pad 2 will be coming soon here. Not much is known about this tablet, but we found out some leaked tech specs and features online. Here are some of the details below.
According to this source, leaked renders and tech specs suggest some notable upgrades from its predecessor. The Redmi Pad 2 is expected to feature an 11-inch LCD panel with a 2.5K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is rumoured to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, paired with either 4GB + 128GB or 8GB + 256GB memory configuration.

Also reported to run on Xiaomi's HyperOS 2.1, leaked images also showcased an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Audio-wise, the device is anticipated to come equipped with a quad-speaker setup supporting Dolby Atmos, but the battery life appears to be the highlight, which could feature a 9,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Additionally, it appears to support a 3.5mm audio jack port as well.
In terms of pricing, the base model (4GB + 128GB) could be priced at €229 (~RM1.1K), while the higher-end variant (8GB RAM + 256GB) may retail for €279 (~RM1.3K).
