As Digital Nasion Berhad (DNB) continues to build up its portfolio of 5G-enabled smartphones, the latest news just came in a few hours ago that three new devices are now compatible. From its Facebook announcement, the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3, Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and the OPPO A77 5G can now go online in 5G.

Just like the previous Samsung Galaxy and OPPO smartphones, you will have to go into your phone's settings and upgrade the software to the latest update. To do this, you just have to go to Settings > About device > Software update. It's super easy, barely an inconvenience. Although you would have to get a YES 5G SIM card for it.

As a reminder, DNB has no power to certify nor approve which phones can be eligible for 5G connectivity in its network. Case in point, Apple relies on our local telcos for having a mobile service. Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile have yet to sign up for DNB's 5G Network at the time of this posting.

There is now a total of 83 5G-enabled smartphones under DNB's 5G network. Although that's the case, the 5G coverage isn't widespread yet and we are still waiting for the other local telcos' move. Do stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
