In this latest DxOMark smartphone camera test result, they have tested and reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra camera capabilities. Scoring 122 points, this is a pretty respectable high score but it was just enough for the phone to land in the top 5. To be fair, all the top scores are very close but anyway, below are some pros and cons of Samsung's camera-centric flagship.

According to DxOMark, what they liked about the Galaxy S20 Ultra's camera is that it was able to produce good exposure most of the time. This goes the same for the colours and details making it pretty good all-rounder. Moreover, the bokeh mode is impressive as well, and not to forget the video recording has been improved in some ways such as 4K recording and slow-mo.

Overall summary

On the other hand, DxOMark weren't so impressed with the zoom-in capabilities which saw "strong fusion artefacts" appearing on the edges of the frame, this happens when the phone is zoomed in too much. Also, there is an issue of autofocusing particularly in low-light settings; at the same time, this also caused some white balance focusing in both indoors and outdoors. They also said the "Bright Night" feature could have been better, same goes to the mixed ultrawide photo quality as it's using a 48MP sensor but the quality didn't meet expectations.

We have been playing with the Galaxy S20 Ultra phone for quite some time now, and we agree most of the remarks made by DxOMark. If you want to read the full detailed report, you can visit their review here. Stay tuned for more tech news at TechNave.com.
