In case you missed it, the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) announced that the laptop loan period has been increased. Initially, the load period was three months and it got extended to six months.
For the uninitiated, the Skim Pinjaman Teknologi Asas Selangor (Sepintas) or also known as Selangor Basic Technology Loan Scheme is a government initiative to help the B40 family groups to access online learning sessions during the lockdown. 10 desktops and 10 laptops can be borrowed at each 50 PPAS premises.
According to sources, there was a Sepintas promotion that extended the load period to 90 days early this year, and up to 180 days just last week. Of course, only one device can be loaned to an individual or a single household at a time. Anyone can apply for the loan but the organisation will only focus on the B40 group with an income salary from RM3000 to RM5000 per month.
