As per tradition, Qualcomm will be back with another event that's usually held in the last quarter of the year. On its official website, it has been revealed that the Snapdragon Summit 2022 will be on November 15-17. This also means that we should be seeing the next Qualcomm flagship chip - the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Of course, there will be other chips too. Just a few hours earlier, Qualcomm has already unveiled a new generation of chips for wearables. The W5 and W5+ chips are built on a 4nm process that supposedly has twice the performance with half the power consumption, according to Qualcomm. Both also have a 50% longer battery life and take 30% less space.

Anyway, Qualcomm usually will have its Summit event annually in December so it was a bit of a surprise that this time, it will be in November. Sources speculate that it may have something to do with the Chinese smartphone brands. Popular brands like Xiaomi are usually one of the first phone manufacturers to get their hands on the latest Snapdragon flagship chipset, alongside Samsung and others.

There are still a few more months to go so we will just have to sit and wait. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
