If you are a huge fan of the Sony PlayStation consoles, this news might excite you. Rumours say the new PS5 Pro could be 3 times faster than a normal PS5. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, the new variant could feature an improved and powerful GPU that is faster than its predecessors. According to Tom Henderson from Inside Gaming, this model could arrive during the holiday season of 2024. Interestingly, Sony might integrate the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).

In case you didn’t know, the PSSR has image scaling capabilities like Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR. If everything goes well, we might see upscaling to 8K resolutions in future versions that will help improve ray-tracing performance. It could also run 67 teraflops. That is a 45 per cent rendering performance improvement over the standard PS5.

We have yet to confirm other details on the device. As of now, we might have to wait for further confirmation from Sony. After all, it’s going to be a while until November.
