It is rumoured that the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro will be launched soon. According to The Verge, developers have started receiving documents from Sony that confirm the existence of a console with improved capabilities from the original PlayStation 5. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, the PlayStation 5 Pro was developed under the Trinity code. In the same document, the PS5 Pro GPU is reported to be 45% more powerful with the CPU operating at up to 3.85GHz. That’s 10% faster than the PS5.
In addition, the speed increase is also done on the memory which operates at a speed of 576GB/s compared to 448GB/s. That makes it almost 30% faster. As a result, this could enable the PS5 Pro to run raytracing mode better while offering higher graphics capabilities.
Another new feature of PS5 Pro is the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). That is very similar to DLSS by NVIDIA and FSR by AMD. The ability to increase the quality of graphics like a PC will finally be possible on the PS5 Pro console. There are speculations that the PS5 Pro will launch this year but Sony has yet to confirm it.
Last year PS5 sales did not reach the target set by Sony. The PS5 Pro may be Sony's move to increase their console sales. We have yet to confirm other details or the Malaysia release date for the PS5 Pro. But, we are definitely excited about it.
