
The Sora app can be downloaded by Android users via the Play Store in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam today. Previously, the app could only be downloaded from the Apple App Store in the United States and required an invitation before it could be used.
Limited number of uses for the free version
For your information, the Android version of Sora offers the same feature of free artificial intelligence (AI) video generation for a limited number of times each day. Additional credits can be purchased to generate more videos. The Cameo feature allows the account owner's face to be used in other users' videos.

Since its launch, it has been downloaded millions of times, becoming the number 1 app on the App Store. However, OpenAI has been criticised for allowing the use of faces, celebrities, and content owned by other people's intellectual property without permission.
Additionally, this has forced the Content Overseas Distribution Association (CODA), which represents 36 Japanese companies, to ask OpenAI to no longer allow Sora to generate videos containing their IP.
