In the last remaining days of Trump administration in the office, the group decided to revoke certain licenses on Huawei suppliers such as Intel. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, they are certainly trying to reject other applications as well in order to halt the supply, according to Reuters.

Moreover, Reuters has gotten an email saying that the Commerce Department just issued an “intents to deny a significant number of license requests for exports to Huawei and a revocation of at least one previously issued license”. So far, 8 licenses got revoked from 4 companies which also includes Kioxia Corp (formerly knowns as Toshiba Memory Corp). None of the companies has any comment at this moment.

A political drama that has been going on for more than a year now, soon-to-be-former President Trump has some sort of 'grudge' against Chinese companies such as Huawei, TikTok and WeChat. To refresh your memory, these tech companies were accused of spying and considered to be a huge threat to US national security. Until now, we still do not know the fate of TikTok's ban in the USA.

Joe Biden will be taking the oath as the next US President this coming Wednesday and we hope that by then, this silly drama can be put to an end. But then again, we aren't sure if Biden will reverse the ban or not. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
