It's now close to 2 years after Twitter has been rebranded as X. While many have accepted the change, few would forget the social media platform's previous bird logo. It's so iconic that people want to buy the former Twitter headquarter's signage version in an ongoing auction.
According to RR Auction, the "bird logo fascia sign" measures 145 x 105 x 20 inches and weighs approximately 560 lbs (~254kg). Previously mounted to the side of the Twitter (now X) headquarters in San Francisco, the sign has been there from 2012 to 2023. Initially part of an Elon Musk-hosted auction in September 2023, the sign is now being auctioned by RR Auction.
Currently, bidding for the sign stands at USD 21664 (~RM96274). However, the auctioning company has estimated the final price to be at least USD 40000 (~RM177786). The bidder who wins must also bear the cost of shipping the sign to the destination of their choice, which could be another exorbitant cost depending on location. As you can tell, this isn't something the average Joe would be interested in.
