If you frequently use a PC, you might be familiar with the VLC media player. Recently, the President of the developer studio behind the media player confirmed the app will arrive on Apple Vision Pro. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, VideoLAN president Jean-Baptiste Kemp confirmed the studio is working on a version of VLC for Apple Vision Pro. Jean said this in an interview with Lowpass to celebrate VLC’s five billion downloads. This is what he said:

We already have a version of VLC running on the Vision Pro”

However, it might take a while before we can see the app on the Vision OS. According to Jean, there was minimal to no motivation to develop it due to the small number of user base for the platform. Interestingly, Jean also said that he is open to developing a version for the Meta Quests headsets.

We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. However, it will be interesting to see how Malaysians will react if the VLC app is available on VisionOS. At this point, one could only wonder.
