So the Vivo S1 is here, you already know the price (RM1099), the pre-order is still on-going until 26 July and it will officially be in every Vivo concept store and authorized dealer across the nation on 27 July 2019, as well as its official Vivo online store, Lazada, Shopee and Presto Mall. Again as a friendly reminder, our Vivo S1 is vastly different from China's set.
We got a few confirmed tech specs but now that it's officially launched, we can now give you the full disclosure. So in case if you're still wondering to get one, below are some of our hands-on pictures of the S1 along with the confirmed tech specs.
On the front, the S1 features a 6.39-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch, where the 32MP (f/2.0) front camera resides, it also has a Face Unlock and an In-display fingerprint sensor
The S1 runs on a new mid-range MediaTek Helio P65 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage with an expandable memory up to 256GB, and FunTouch OS 9 based on Android Pie
The phone is pretty lightweight too, weighing just 179g and it has a triple SIM tray for two nano-SIM cards and a dedicated microSD card slot. For connectivity, it supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5 and a micro USB port
This is how the Skyline Blue model looks like with a nice gradient combo between pink and blue, reflecting its Sakura-feel. The other colour option is Diamond Black which is equally beautiful
The triple rear camera comprises of a 16MP (Sony IMX499 sensor, f/1.78) + 8MP (120° ultrawide lens, f/2.2) + 2MP (depth sensor, f/2.4). There's also a 4500mAh battery supported by a Dual Engine fast charging technology
On top of the pre-order, those who purchase the Vivo S1 will get some freebies which include a VShare K1-Bluetooth Speaker (worth RM99) at the stores.
