The WhatsApp team has definitely been testing out a lot of new features lately. In this latest instalment, many of you are probably going to like this because they are now working on reaction notifications.

As the name suggests, this allows the WhatsApp user to react to a certain message just like Facebook. According to WABetaInfo, this upcoming reaction notification feature is now in development on the iOS version. The Android WhatsApp version will have it too one day, so it's just a matter of time.

From the screenshot above, WhatsApp users will be able to toggle on and off (when available) the reaction notifications in the Notifications settings. Since WhatsApp is under Facebook, we think there's a good chance that they may share the same emoji reactions. This feature will be available in individual and group chats.

For now, there's no official release date for reaction notifications but we are still excited. We also think they should have done this a long time ago since iPhone users have been doing this on iMessage for the longest time. What do you think?
