As per tradition, there would always be a new flagship Snapdragon chipset by Qualcomm. The company also announced its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit date on 30 November until 2 December 2021 so that's when we can expect a new announcement of the rumoured Snapdragon 898 SoC.
Which phone would get the Snapdragon 898 chipset? There are many candidates but it was reported that Xiaomi could be the first just like previously. In this case, the next Xiaomi 12 series should be adopting it and maybe released globally soon. The phone model was also spotted online through two certification sites, one in Russia and the other in India.

According to the certification, the Xiaomi 12 series could come in an LTPO display supporting an adaptive refresh rate function that switches from 1Hz to 120Hz according to usage. Besides that, it could have a punch-hole camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as a 120W fast charging technology. Like before, there should be a Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro (220112G and 2201123G).
On top of that, the Snapdragon 898 chipset is said to be using a 4nm process by Samsung and Adreno 730 GPU. It has a total of eight cores, with the main one clocking in at 3.0GHz, followed by 2.50GHz x3 and 1.79GHz x4. Other phone brands such as HONOR, vivo, Samsung, Motorola, OPPO, Huawei, ZTE, ASUS, Black Shark, Lenovo, Nubia, realme and others should also be in line with the upcoming chipset.
Well, we will just have to wait until the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 gets underway. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
