The Xiaomi 14 series was first released in China back at the end of October and we can expect it to come into Malaysia in early 2024. However, there could be some bad news that the Xiaomi 14 Pro won't be exported globally.

According to sources, they believe that the reason why we won't see the Xiaomi 14 Pro has very much to do with the software coding for international regions. As you should know, the Xiaomi 14 series comes with the company's self-developed HyperOS. Sources also say the pro variant's HyperOS global version has stopped software development whereas the Xiaomi 14 is still ongoing.

Of course, if it's not official by Xiaomi then it's best to take it with a pinch of salt. Perhaps there's another coding information that was overlooked by the source. It's said that the Xiaomi 14 series will first make its global launch in India sometime in January 2024, so we will just have to wait and see.

For the uninitiated, the HyperOS was designed as a smart ecosystem for humans, cars and homes. It focuses on four areas - Low-level Refactoring, Cross-End Intelligent Connectivity, Proactive Intelligence, and End-to-End Security. The Xiaomi 14 series was also the first flagship to debut the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and you can read the rest of the specs here.
