In just one more day to 15 March 2022, the Xiaomi 12 series will be unveiled globally but it's not the only gadget to appear. Officially posted on Xiaomi Malaysia, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active will be launching on the online livestream event as well.
Not to be confused with the Xiaomi Watch S1 release at the end of 2021, there isn't much information known about the Active variant. If we had to guess, the features should be more or less the same as the Xiaomi Watch S1 in some ways. As the name suggests, the Watch S1 Active should be more sports-oriented.

In terms of features, online leaks and rumours said that the Watch S1 could be using silicone straps instead of leather bands. The bezels should be thicker as well to protect the watch from any physical knockings. Then, the circular dials could be replaced with physical buttons.
On the other hand, rumours also have it that the Watch S1 Active could feature a 5ATM water resistance rating, over 117 sports modes, a 470mAh battery and an AMOLED display. All in all, it should be another typical gadget for sports enthusiasts and users who are serious about exercising.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 never came to Malaysia but the Active variant could since Xiaomi Malaysia posted about it. But we shall wait and see, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
