Smartphones are supposed to be compact considering that we are bringing the device with us everywhere we go. However, there are also some users who have a different opinion as they prefer their daily drivers to have a larger screen for any purpose. Therefore, this upcoming plan from Samsung might be an exciting one for those who love a large device as the tech giant could be releasing a 7.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S21 (or S30) in the future.

According to some Chinese sources, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra could have a huge 7.1-inch screen, being larger than the current Galaxy S20 Ultra which has a 6.9-inch screen. Not only the Ultra variant will get a larger screen, but the entire lineup is also expected to be enlarged. The lowest variant is rumoured to sport a 6.9-inch display while the middle variant might have a 7-inch display. True or not, we're still quite far away from the launching period of the devices and rumours are going to keep changing until then.

Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy S21 already has a codename for the insiders. It is called Galaxy U as leaked by the famous tipster Ice Universe from Weibo. The tipster also suggested that the basic Galaxy S21 model will have some of its configurations reduced to save costs. With that said, the tipster mentioned that the minimum S21 configuration will use a Full HD+ screen with a refresh rate of only 60 Hz.
