When the iPhone 16 series launched, it came with the tiny caveat of missing out on Apple Intelligence features. Apple Intelligence was heavily marketed and Apple promises that it is on the way. But when? Well, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, it could be released by the end of October.
To be more specific, the release date is scheduled for 28 October 2024 and will arrive with iOS 18.1. Gurman said only some Apple Intelligence features will come, particularly the AI-powered notification summaries, new writing tools and rainbow-coloured glowing edge graphics when the improved Siri with Apple Intelligence comes on.
Remember, this will be just the first wave of Apple Intelligence. Apple has mentioned before that other features are planned for the December release, in which we will be seeing Apple's Image Playground and Genmoji. That being said, the functions which Siri can help out carrying tasks across multiple apps and using contexts as information aren't seen anywhere on betas.
As a reminder, only the iPhone 15 Pro model and above can use Apple Intelligence due to the RAM power and chipset. If you are curious about what else to expect, you can actually check them out in beta for iPads and Macs with M1 chips and above. The next-gen iPhone SE may also have Apple Intelligence.
