Based on a statement by Twitter user @Sudhandshu1414, it seems that the global variant of the Redmi 9T will most likely be a rebadged Redmi Note 9 4G that’s exclusively available in China. While not much is known in regards to the release date and local pricing of the global variant, this does give us a better idea on what to expect when the smartphone is unveiled here.

In terms of the tech specs, the smartphone is expected to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB internal storage, as well as a 6000mAh internal battery which supports up to 18W fast charging. Camera-wise, it has a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad-camera setup at the rear while the front has an 8MP selfie camera.

As for the pricing, we can expect the device to be priced around RM1000, which is quite affordable if you take into account the specs you are getting. However, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Xiaomi has yet to provide an official statement on the leak.

Not only that, but there’s also no news on the Malaysia release date and local pricing for now. What are your thoughts on the Redmi 9T being a rebadged version of China’s Redmi Note 9 4G? Let us know on our Facebook page and for more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
