Following the hilarious tweeting comments on the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (MCMC)'s Twitter page just some time ago, the group has just announced that they have set up a committee for the Investigation of Improper Trial Case in 2014 on their Twitter account. The committee is chaired by Deputy Secretary-General (Telecommunication Infrastructure and Digital Economy), Tan Chuan Ou and four members.

From the press statement, the committee's job is to conduct a detailed investigation starting today on the "issue of indecent hacking" of MCMC Twitter account. The investigation will go through with the examination of documents, rules, operating methods and parties involved as well as the possibility of elements of abuse or malpractice.

As such, appropriate action such as disciplinary action, surcharge, police report or report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) or civil action in court against the parties will happen if there is "negligence or misconduct in this issue". Apparently, the investigation would be also carried out transparently and report the results to the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

In case you missed it, MCMC's old tweeted vulgar (and funny) posts were dug out and it's said that the account was bought from a teenager who had a lot of followers. Personally, setting up the committee team to investigate this case is unnecessary because the account can't be hacked with old tweets that existed.
