The iOS 18 could feature a smarter and more “controlling” Siri

Siri is the first virtual assistant that provides smartphone control features using voice. When it was launched 12 years ago, it was an innovative product that caused Google Assistant and Samsung Bixby to be developed as competitors. But now it must be admitted that Siri's ability is behind Google Assistant, Bixby and Alexa. That said, what should you know about it?

According to Bloomberg, this will change through Siri which will be powered by AI capabilities. Reportedly, Siri on iOS 18 will be more intelligent in controlling the applications installed on the device. For example, it can be instructed to move the position of files, delete emails and perform conclusions for certain documents.

Previously, Siri can only do one task. Then through the update, it can take several instructions simultaneously to complete a complex task. For example, it can summarise a long document and then send this summary in the form of an email to a friend

Moreover, more features will be introduced during the WWDC event on June 11. If all the information leaked so far is true, 2024 will be the year AI is finally used by the majority of modern mobile phones. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly. Wouldn’t want AI to take over mankind, won’t we?
