Apple iPhones are notoriously known for having lower battery capacity if compared to Android phones, but that's because of how iOS functions differently. That said, iPhone fans who are waiting for the iPhone 15 series may get a nice upgrade. Rumours have it that the next-gen iPhone may have larger batteries.
According to an alleged Foxconn worker, he told ITHome that all the iPhone 15 models would get a significant battery upgrade from the iPhone 14 series. He claimed that the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are getting 18%, 14% and 12% larger batteries respectively.
iPhone models | Battery |
---|---|
iPhone 15 | 3877mAh |
iPhone 15 Plus | 4912mAh |
iPhone 15 Pro | 3650mAh |
iPhone 15 Pro Max | 4852mAh |
iPhone 14 | 3279mAh |
iPhone 14 Plus | 4325mAh |
iPhone 14 Pro | 3200mAh |
iPhone 14 Pro Max | 4323mAh |
While the figures weren't given, people online have already made the calculations based on the information. As you can see in the chart above, the iPhone 15 Pro could have the smallest battery pack among the four with 3650mAh, whereas the iPhone 15 Plus may have the biggest one with 4912mAh.
Besides the alleged battery upgrades, sources also noted that there are rumours circulating around that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may start with 256GB of storage, while the non-pro variants may continue starting with 128GB of storage. Then again, all these are rumours so do take them with a pinch of salt.
