The Nokia 3310, a phone announced back on 1 September 2000, which had seen 126 million units being sold worldwide, and was one of the most successful phones in history. It gained cult status due to its durability. Today, we see the return of the modern classic, a refreshed Nokia 3310, reborn with a modern twist on design and features.

Make no mistake, the refreshed Nokia 3310 is not a smartphone, it remains a feature phone, just like what the original was. All the features that defined the original Nokia 3310 had been retained, as the 2017 model remains thin, light and incredibly durable.

The new Nokia 3310 is a 2G feature phone that runs on Nokia Series 30+. It features a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a polarized layer for better readability in sunlight, and packs a simple 2MP camera on the back that’s complete with LED flash. On board storage is only 16MB but is expandable up to 32GB using a MicroSD. Powered by a removable 1200mAh battery, the strengths of this phone is its 22 hours talk time, and month long standby time. A Micro-USB port makes it easy to recharge the phone.

The legendary “Snake”, which was one of the most entertaining games of its era, is back with a little update that makes it even more fun to play on the new color screen. Keeping up with the feature phone standards is a MP3 player and FM radio, as well as the now seemingly forgotten 3.5mm headphone jack.
