In addition to the annual release of the next-gen iPhone models and Apple Watch Series, there are new reports that a new AirPods Pro could make its debut at the Apple Event this week. This was reported by Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter and here's what he said about the AirPods Pro.

Initially, the AirPods Pro was believed to be released in October for the second round of Apple Event. However, Gurman thinks the next-gen AirPods Pro could be announced alongside the iPhone 14 series and Apple Watch Series 9. The reason was that he was being told so by a source that seems "trustworthy".

On top of that, he was informed of some new features of the new AirPods Pro. This includes a new H2 chipset that provides improved audio quality, longer battery life and a new charging case with Find My support. Moreover, it could have new fitness tracking capabilities, improved in-ear detection as well as Bluetooth LE Audio.

Compared with the current AirPods Pro, it sounds like the new version is a huge improvement. Gurman also said the new AirPods Pro could connect to multiple devices and may have a new look. It was said that Apple thought of removing the stems below the earbuds but that remains to be seen. Knowing Apple, the company should keep the original design more or less the same.

The next Apple Event will be happening on 7 September 2022. In Malaysia's timing, the livestream will begin at 1 AM via apple.com, the Apple TV app and YouTube. Stay tuned for our official news coverage at TechNave.com.
