One of the highlights this week was the Apple Event whereby the 3rd-gen iPhone SE was announced. As usual, Apple is notoriously known for not announcing the RAM figure and would usually have to wait until we or someone else discover it.
Well, thankfully, someone else did indeed and it was from a developer named Moritz Sternemann. According to MacRumors, they have confirmed that the new iPhone SE will have 4GB of RAM. In comparison with the predecessor, it was only using 3GB of RAM. Sternemann found the information from the Xcode 13.3 Release Candidate that was released by Apple.
How reliable is Xcode, you know? Well, let's just say that it has been accurate in revealing the RAM capacity in several iPhones and iPads as well, so there should be no doubt. Also, we aren't really surprised because Apple has only recently moved into 4GB. The extra 1GB RAM add-on should benefit the iPhone SE's photo and video editing apps as well as more apps to remain active in the background.
To recap, the iPhone SE features the same A15 Bionic chipset from the iPhone 13 series, alongside 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of storage. It still has the same 4.7-inch Retina Display, Touch ID home button, a single 12MP rear camera and can now connect to a 5G service.
The starting price from the lowest to the highest variant starts from RM2099, followed by RM2299 and RM2799. The pre-order for the Malaysian market will begin on 18 March 2022 and will launch on 25 March 2022, nationwide. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
