Today, OPPO took to the stage today at the Snapdragon Summit 2022 to announce users can experience a fully optimised hardware-based ray tracing feature on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform when it releases. As expected, its next Find X flagship smartphone will be one of the first to be powered by the new chipset.

In an ongoing collaboration between OPPO and Qualcomm, we can expect some ray-tracing graphics for future OPPO mobile devices. The two companies have been collaborating since the early phases of the next-gen driver development. Besides that, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset should also deliver a leap in video streaming and 5G connectivity experiences for mobile users worldwide.

It was only yesterday when OPPO showed off a ray tracing demo on a mobile game called Camp Guard. Running on a device powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, multiple ray tracing effects turned on and it allowed the mobile game to run steadily at 60FPS with life-like shadows and reflections. If we look back at early this year, OPPO may release its next Find X flagship early next year too around February or so. Until then, it will be one of the earliest devices to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
