As per tradition, Samsung would always release a new Galaxy S series in the first quarter of every year. But since we are almost in the middle of January, it's a bit odd that there's no official news about the next Unpacked 2022 and word has it that the Exynos 2200 chipset reveal got pushed back as well.

Previously, the initial release date leak was the 8th of February 2022 as claimed by popular tipster Jon Prosser and the pre-order was allegedly to go live on the same day. However, Jon has revised the dates just a bit and now says the pre-order has shifted to 9 February 2022 and the "official" launching date is on 25 February 2022 instead of the initial 18 February 2022.

That said, it seems that the Galaxy S22 series Unpacked 2022 could still be on 8 February 2022. The reason for the delay, according to Jon, was because of supply chain issues which we aren't surprised by. After all, the world has been experiencing that since the pandemic hit 2 years ago and there's the chipset shortage issue as well.

To add on, Jon's claims are backed up by a South Korean media outlet about the launching date. The media news also said Samsung is currently discussing when to send out the invitations and it may happen at the end of January. That said, the Galaxy S22 series Unpacked 2022 is very likely to be a virtual launch event since the pandemic is pretty much still around.
