The next Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 & Fold 5 will be slimmer & lighter

As we get closer to Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event, the Head of Samsung MX Business Dr TM Roh shared a few tidbits about the next-gen Galaxy Z series. While nothing much was revealed, we can expect it to be more compact.

In the official newsroom, Roh claimed that the team has made the latest Galaxy Z series to be "slimmer and lighter than its previous generations". How slimmer and lighter? Well, according to him, he said Samsung has "raised the standards for foldable smartphone ergonomics" by a millimetre. While it doesn't sound like a big deal, he continued to say that "every gram and millimetre in a foldable device requires an engineering breakthrough".

Moreover, he also hinted at "the most flexible camera experience in Samsung Galaxy". We aren't sure how flexible it can get, given that the foldable phones for the past four generations are more or less the same. But we can "capture the perfect angle, hands-free" as well as have an enhanced multitasking experience like a PC which is referring to the Galaxy Z Fold.

As a reminder, Samsung Malaysian fans can tune in to the livestream on the date at 7 PM on 26 July 2023. The livestream will be held on the Official Samsung Website, as well as the company's YouTubeFacebook and Newsroom page.
