Not long after the WWDC22, news about a 15-inch MacBook Air and 14-inch iPad popped out of nowhere. Since the rumoured iPad has such a large display, we all assume it would fall under the Pro category. However, it seems like we are wrong according to this new information.

According to tipster Ross Young, the iPad might not be a Pro model as it lacks a mini-LED display. Furthermore, it's said to skip the ProMotion screen that provides a 120Hz refresh rate. The information makes us believe that the upcoming 14-inch iPad could be a standard model as the Pro ones have had ProMotion screens since 2017.

Besides that, Young added that the new M2 11-inch iPad would not feature mini-LED backlighting, although the 12.9-inch model already adopted the technology last year. Not only the 11-inch iPad but the company is also expected to upgrade the 12.9-inch model with the latest chip.
