Proton introduced their first electric vehicle, the Proton eMas 7, a few months ago, and it has been very popular among Proton fans and those looking to buy their first electric vehicle. Recently, Perodua released a timeline for the patches and EV update. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the eMas 7 vehicle still has several aspects that can be improved, especially in terms of smart device support and a number of other features that Proton itself is aware of and is in the process of improving on the vehicle. Paultan.org has reported that Proton will introduce OTA updates every quarter, and the first update has already been released, namely Flyme Auto S version 1.1.4 which introduces buttons to start and stop charging on the car's screen display, car brake optimisation and a feature that allows owners to track the vehicle's location even when it is in sleep mode.

Additionally, the next update will be introduced in July 2025 which will introduce wireless Apple Car Play support, an update to the previously unswitchable “ice cream truck” sound, and improvements to the ability to scan frequencies for in-car radio stations. In October, support for wired Apple Car Play will be introduced, while support for Android Auto will be introduced in a December update.
