The vivo X100S might run the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ flagship SoC - New chipset might arrive on 7 May 2024

Looks like the smartphone market is about to get more interesting. Recently, there have been rumours about the new vivo X100S and the arrival date for the new MediaTek chipset. That said, what should you know about it?

According to previous reports by IT Home, the MediaTek Dimensity Developer Conference MDDC 2024 will be held at 9:30 on May 7. MediaTek also announced that the Dimensity 9300+ flagship chip will be released at this event. Interestingly, the vivo X100S mobile phone will be equipped with this flagship chip, and the specific release time is unknown.

Moreover, this new phone has completed network access, radio certification and 3C certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology . It is equipped with a GaN charger with a maximum power of 120W and supports UFCS-integrated fast charging.

In addition, this new phone achieved single-core scores of 2229 points and multi-core scores of 7526 points on Geekbench. The test model is equipped with an Android 14 system, equipped with 16GB of memory, and the CPU is composed of 1 3.40 GHz core + 3 2.85 GHz cores + 4 2.00 GHz cores.

Specs-wise, the vivo X100S mobile phone runs a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED straight screen, a metal right-angle middle frame + a glass body. It could also be available in four colours: White/Black/Cyan/Titanium. Currently, there are no other details on the specs or the Malaysia release date for the device.
