Back in September 2020, ZTE launched the world's first commercial phone with an under-display front camera ever in China. Not much hype and enthusiasm followed up after that, though, as we didn't really hear much about the phone from then onwards. Well, that's gonna change as we were just told that the ZTE Axon 20 5G is coming to Malaysia.
According to our little anonymous bird, the ZTE Axon 20 5G will be available through ZTE's online channels towards the end of December. The launching date wasn't specified but the Christmas period is a good bet and no much other details were given. Despite that, it's nice to know that Malaysia is part of the first wave to receive the phone.
To refresh your memory, the under-display camera is a 32MP sensor hiding beneath the 6.92-inch OLED display. The display also supports FHD+ resolution and up to 90Hz refresh rate, alongside a fingerprint sensor. On top of that, the phone features a Snapdragon 765G chipset, 8GB + 128GB memory capacity, 4229mAh battery with 30W fast-charging and more. There's even a liquid cooling feature and we guess that's for handling mobile gaming.
With the tech specs list above, that's probably the memory variant we are getting in Malaysia. For price reference, the 8GB + 128GB cost 2498 Yuan (~RM1516) so that's a nice price range for us (unless if our local tech dealers change their minds). But what do you think?
