A few hours ago, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on his Facebook page that WhatsApp Channels had surpassed 500 million monthly users. For the uninitiated, Channels is a section in the app that helps people get the updates they want from their favourite teams, organizations and people, directly on WhatsApp.
That's not all, though. The WhatsApp team also announced that there will be a new update for every WhatsApp user. Rolling out now as we speak, soon anyone will have the ability to create a channel as well as put stickers. Apparently, it was reported that users are enjoying getting updates from the channels they follow.
With the update rolling out to everyone globally, admins can use Channels as a new way to connect with their followers in a more personal format. In case you didn't know, there are quite a few local Channels for Malaysians to check out. This includes Zoo Negara Malaysia, MyMDEC, Cereka, JomCheck, MIASA Malaysia, and more.
