In case you missed it, ASUS Malaysia will launch the ROG Phone 9 Series on 10 December 2024. While we patiently wait for the day, there are new reports of a possible ROG Phone 9 FE device in the works. If true, it could be the first time the lineup to feature such a variant.
According to a WiFi Alliance website, the ROG Phone 9 FE is not that different from its ROG Phone 9 siblings. It is currently tested on Android 14 but it could still launch with Android 15 when ready. In addition, the ROG Phone 9 FE could also feature an older chipset - the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset to be precise.
To have a lower cost than the ROG Phone 9 Series, ASUS may also take away the mini LED lighting on the back cover and a less powerful cooling system. But everything here is just speculation so do take it with a pinch of salt. Also, it is unknown where the ROG Phone 9 FE could potentially launch.
As mentioned, the ROG Phone 9 Series will make its debut in Malaysia on 10 December 2024. Fans should be able to check out the livestream event but if not, you can wait for the official news coverage only at TechNave.com.
