Although there isn't any news about the vivo X Fold coming to Malaysia anytime soon, there is a new leak about a new variant called the vivo X Fold S. It was leaked by Digital Chat Station who is also a popular leakster and here's what we know so far.
In his short post on Weibo, the vivo X Fold S is a superior version featuring a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is expected. Moreover, the battery is getting an upgrade as well. This time, it could get a 4700mAh battery pack with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging technology.
Comparing it with the vivo X Fold, the phone features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a 4600mAh battery pack supporting a 66W wired fast charging technology. The wireless fast charging remains the same as 50W, and if we have to guess - the vivo X Fold S could also continue using the 8.03-inch 2K+ resolution 120Hz internal AMOLED display with LTPO technology. It's definitely one of the highlighted features.
During mid-July 2022, vivo Malaysia actually held an X Fold Experience event for the media. While there was no confirmation, the company kind of implied that the foldable device would come to the Malaysian market. After that, there was no news nor build-up hype of the vivo X Fold.
