vivo has generously confirmed that there will be a new NEX device coming in the first quarter of 2022. The last vivo NEX, vivo NEX 3, was launched two years ago. Therefore, it's undoubtedly a piece of exciting news for those who've waited long. Today, the latest report has arrived by claiming that the device would feature the latest 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 too.
Other than the chip, it's also said that the next vivo NEX won't be 'NEX 4' but will be called 'NEX 5'. If you want to know why, it's because that '4' in Chinese is consonant with the word death. Besides the vivo NEX, there are also other multiple devices that could come with the chip, including its first foldable and the iQOO 9. However, since rumours are saying iQOO could become an independent brand next year, we might not be calling it a vivo smartphone by then.
