These new AI features are taking Samsung Notes to another level

Anyone who has used Samsung Notes before would say that it's just fine for shopping lists, doing lecture notes or keeping track of a meeting but traditionally, it's not often used for serious document creation. Recently, Samsung introduced their new Galaxy AI with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series of devices and AI-driven functions like Note assist are taking Samsung Notes to another level.

How exactly is it doing this? Read on to find out how you can not only create professional content with Samsung Notes, but also do it quickly and easily with the new Galaxy AI Note assist.

1. Change-up and check your article in an instant!

Tap the Write assist in the Samsung Keyboard to change up your text accordingly

You can easily check grammar and correct spelling with Note assist

Practically all writers need inspiration and an editor at one point or another but now you no longer need to ask someone else as Galaxy AI Write assist provides real-time grammar and style suggestions, ensuring that your documents are polished and professional.

Just tap the Write assist icon in Samsung Keyboard and select Writing Style to have the Galaxy AI rewrite your text in several different styles including Professional, Casual, Polite and more. You can also tap the Note assist icon and select Correct spelling to instantly check the grammar and spelling of your text.

2. Convert your handwritten notes with ease

If Note assist can convert even my terrible handwriting it should work for most other handwritten notes

With advanced handwriting recognition, you can seamlessly convert handwritten notes into digital text, making it easier to edit and share your ideas. This is particularly useful if you already have a whole bunch of previous handwritten notes in your Samsung Notes.

This way, you can go back to these and convert them to text that is more workable. In addition, if you’re already used to handwriting your notes, you can now just as easily convert this to text using Galaxy AI. All you have to do is tap the Clean up handwriting icon, select your text and tap Convert to text.

3. Automatically clean up your messy articles

Thanks to Note assist you can easily format a messy article accordingly

Sometimes, the end result of your writing is a rather messy article. Note Assist automatically formats your text, adjusting font, spacing, and alignment to create a visually appealing and organized document.

To do this, just tap the Note assist icon and select Auto format in the popup menu. Then you can choose the available formats such as Headers and bullets and Meeting notes.

4. Get to the bottom line, without reading that wall of text!

No more reading the entire wall of text, just summarise it with Note assist

Too often these days do we see veritable walls of text that we have to somehow sift through and find the actual information contained within. The AI-powered summarisation feature condenses lengthy text into concise summaries, helping you capture the main points quickly.

Again, it’s just a simple tap on the Note assist icon (yeah, the triple star icon in the bottom middle) and tap Summarise. The Galaxy AI will do the reading for you and provide you the bottom line or the main points into a simple and easy to understand summary.
