When it comes to cameras, 360 cameras aren't really that widely used. But if you're interested in one, you might want to check out the one announced by Vecnos, a new startup company under Ricoh. The company's first prototype is an ultra-compact 360 camera that looks like a certain device from a certain movie franchise.
According to Wired, the 360 camera by Vecnos resembles the famed memory-erasing Neuralyzer from the Men in Black movie series. It comes with four camera lenses at the top of its body, with three of the lenses facing outwards while the fourth is on the tip facing upwards. There are two buttons that can be used to control the camera.
Vecnos has also announced that there will be an accompanying mobile app for the camera, which will make the creation of 360-degree videos easier. These will then be shareable to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. From the description, it sounds like Vecnos wants to put this device into the hands of more consumers, which means it'll have to be priced reasonably. However, the company hasn't announced how much the camera will cost or when it would be launched yet.
Assuming that 360 cameras could come with more affordable prices for the average consumer in the future, would that convince you to buy one? Also, how you ever tried a 360 camera and find it useful? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
