The Malaysian founder and CEO of Singapore-based Replyr.ai, Dylan Tan, recently took to the Entrepreneurs and Startups in Malaysia Facebook group to share a new chatbot he created that is aimed at fighting scammers. An AI chatbot that will “infinitely waste scammers’ time on WhatsApp”, it’s hilariously named “Scammers On Hold AI” or “SOHAI”.
Tan said that users only need to give scammers the SOHAI’s phone number here. The chatbot will then infinitely waste the scammers’ time by giving excuses, digressing and “acting blur”.
Not only that, SOHAI will also follow up with the scammer to further annoy them if they don’t reply. Each chat with scammers will then be put inside Google Sheets with a record of the scammer’s name, the amount of time wasted, summary of the chat and the tactics used to waste the scammer’s time.
