If you have a habit of placing your phone on the bedside while charging, you might want to stop doing that from today onwards. Recently, a Vietnamese couple suffered severe burns because their mobile phones exploded. So, what should you know about it?
According to a Facebook post by the local Hung King General Hospital, the mobile phone exploded and caused severe burns to both individuals. The burns affected their face, hands, outer left thigh, both feet, calves, and left foot. The burn even caused shock.
Fortunately, the accident only affected 10%-20% of their body. The couple is now in stable condition and transferred to the Hung King General Hospital for follow-up treatment. Hopefully, their condition will improve over time.
This accident is not exclusive to Vietnam alone. In fact, there were also fatal cases in Malaysia involving similar accidents. We would like to advise you to place your phone away from you while charging to prevent such accidents. You should also unplug your charger when it reaches full charge and use an authorized charging cable for your safety.
