Today, Google have announced that Google Assistant can now read whatever news articles aloud. Known as "Read It", the update will roll out later this year and soon Android users will be able to command Google Assistant to do so and it's fluent in 42 languages. All the user has to do is just say "Hey Google, read it" or "Hey Google, read this page".

Utilizing the neural networks and machine learning tool, Google Assistant is able to read out the text from an article with a more natural voice instead of sounding like a robot with no soul. While reading, the browser page will automatically scroll and highlight the words as the voice assistant Read It. You can adjust the reading speed and choose multiple voices.

With 42 languages ready at your disposal, you can also use the translation menu to select any language and the page will be automatically translated and read out in that language. However, Bahasa Malaysia is not available (lol) yet.

Read It will be available on Android phones that are using version 5 and above. If you're a developer, you can add the ability for Google Assistant to read aloud content in your mobile app using Actions on Google. If you don't, just use the nopagereadaloud tag to not use the feature.

What do you think of this new feature? I think it's pretty cool especially if you're multitasking. Stay tuned for more cool and trending tech news at TechNave.com.
