Microsoft has announced that it is currently investigating an outage with its Microsoft Teams app, though the company did not detail how many users have been affected. Earlier today at around 10am Malaysian time, thousands of Microsoft Teams users reported that there are unable to access the app or use any of its features.

As reported by Reuters, over 4800 incidents of people reporting issues with the app was recorded on Downdetector.com. The website is used to track outages by collating status reports from sources, including user-submitted errors.

A proprietary business communications platform by Microsoft, Microsoft Teams is primarily used by businesses as an internal workspace chat and videoconferencing platform. The outage will definitely affect businesses which rely upon the app for internal communications.
