As per tradition, CES will start at the beginning of the year and there will be plenty of brands fighting for your attention. That said, Samsung Electronics has announced that they will be showcasing three new monitors at the annual conference - the CRG9 gaming monitor, UR59C 4K UHD curved monitor and a minimalistic Space Monitor. Although there are no price tags yet, we got some tidbits about what it has.
First up, the CRG9 features a 49-inch super ultra-wide screen panel with a 32:9 aspect ratio, up to 120Hz refresh rate with 4ms response time, as well as an AMD Radeon FreeSync HDR technology to reduce stutter, screen tearing and input latency. Apart from that, it has a dual QHD resolution (5120x1440) and HDR10 with a peak brightness of 1000 nits, able to provide clear details in bright and dark parts of an image. There's also a PBP (Picture-by-Picture) functionality to allow two video sources to be viewed on the same screen, as well as offering one HDMI port, two Display Ports, USB 3.0 and headphone connectivity options.
Next, Space Monitor is what the name suggests. Not only does it have a sleek design allowing the user to save space on the desk, but its functionality is pretty special because it has a unique built-in integrated arm that is able to clamp itself to the desk in four different ways. It's easy to set up, easy adjust and it can even be pushed back flat against a wall. Cable management is hidden inside the arm stand and there are two models - the 27-inch with QHD resolution and the 32-inch with 4K UHD.
Finally, the UR59C monitor is the world's first 32-inch curved 4K UHD designed for content creators. Available in Dark Blue Gray, it has a super-slim design, with a depth of only 6.7mm which is great for creating digital art, watching videos or gaming.
All three monitors will appear at Samsung’s CES booth #15006 at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 8-11, 2019. For more information about Samsung’s new monitors, please visit displaysolutions.samsung.com/ces2019 and stay tuned for more CES news at TechNave.com.
