TikTok Now arrives as a new competitor to BeReal

Not long ago, news came saying that Instagram is working on a BeReal clone. However, it seems like TikTok has moved faster by launching its own. TikTok Now is the platform's new feature to let users post a photo or a 10-second video when prompted anywhere anytime.

The rules are the same as BeReal. Users who participate in TikTok Now will receive a notification at a random time every day to snap a picture or a video within a stipulated time using their phone's front and back cameras. The time limit is to ensure the users be as "real" as possible, unlike posting the pictures that we're usually more willing to share on social media.

It's worth mentioning that TikTok Now is still in the experimental stage, and the feature is currently only available within the main TikTok app in the US. The users can find it under a dedicated tab in the bottom navigation bar, next to the Home tab. Meanwhile, for the other markets, the company is looking to launch it as a separate app.
